FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant to join well respected international business ideally situated in Round Spinney are of Northampton.

Reporting into the Accounts Office manager this is a broad and varied role covering the below duties.

• Processing Purchase Ledger Invoices – Collating supporting documentation to substantiate the Invoice in line with our procedures and resolving queries that may arise from this process.
• Preparing Purchase Ledger Invoices – Collating supporting documentation to substantiate the Invoice in line with our procedures and resolving queries that may arise from this process. Entering the Invoices into out Finance Ledgers.
• Preparing Purchase Ledger Invoices for Payment – Preparation of payment authorization forms in an Excel format for payment approval. Entering the payments onto our Bank ready for approval.
• Administrative tasks such as filing and scanning – All our Purchase Ledger documents once complete and paid are scanned into online folders and filed as a backup.
• Opening New Sales Leger and Purchase Ledger Accounts – New sales ledger accounts have strict guidance before the account can be opened. Purchase Ledger accounts are processed from our Approved Supplier form.
• Analyzing Duty Deferment Statements to the import documents and preparation of the analysis summary.
• Assist with customer queries and chasing of overdue debtors including allocation of payments
• Assist Accounts Office Manager with ad hoc duties at month / year end.

This position is being offered on a full time permanent basis and is ideally suited to a candidate looking for a varied and challenging role within a progressive business.

Previous experience of working within Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or Credit Control is desirable however those working within Admin or Customer Service seeking a 1st move into accounting / finance will be considered.

In return a basic salary of up to £22,000 coupled with excellent benefits can be offered.
