My client is a well-established SME business operating with the Events Industry, and ideally situated in plush new offices in South Leicestershire.

Due to the unfortunate exit of a long term member of staff due to ill health, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the delivery of a Company Accountant on a full time, permanent basis.

Reporting directly into the MD, this is very much a hands-on and stand alone Finance Position covering the complete end to end process.

• Completion of Monthly Accounts for 4 group companies, with commentary and analysis to MD
• Processing of Journals, Accruals, Pre Payments, Maintenance of Company Fixed Assets and Intercompany Accounting
• Daily management of company Bank Accounts, Cash Books and Petty Cash
• Provide Cashflow forecast and advise MD of any risk
• Ownership of company Purchase and Sales Ledger process – Processing, Raising Sales Invoices, Payments and Allocations
• Proactively chase aged debtors via telephone and letter
• Completion of VAT Returns and Stat Returns
• Daily / Weekly Bank and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Use of MS Excel and Sage Accounting Software
• Assist in the preparation of company payroll, to then be run by external accountants
• Assist external accountants in preparation of Year End Accounts

The ideal candidate will have experience gained in a similar end to end position, and be happy working as part of a small but dynamic team.

Reporting directly into the MD, candidates will need to be confident and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to clearly deliver regular updates on business performance.

A Good level of IT Literacy is required, to include MS Excel and prior knowledge of Sage Line 50 or 200 is highly desirable.

This client puts more emphasis on real life experience over academic or professional qualifications, as such those QBE, Stop Studiers, Part Qualified or Qualified should all apply.

A basic salary of £30,000 – £35,000 coupled with benefits, and potential for bonus based around company performance can be given.
