Our client is a well-regarded business operating with the legal and wealth management sector with offices based across the East Midlands area.
Working across the East Midlands Offices this role reports into the CEO

My client is looking to appoint a business focussed CFO to help drive further growth within the Group and to significantly increase EBITDA.
The CFO is a key member of the Group’s Senior Executive Team and the Board with responsibility for all aspects of the company’s finances including providing strategic financial advice to the CEO and the Board.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
To provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and Board,
• ensuring the group has a strong and robust financial control environment (including adherence to the SRA Accounts Rules (SAR), FCA requirements and Anti Bribery and Anti Money Laundering (AML) Regulations),
• ensuring senior management have a meaningful set of KPIs and MI and the requisite financial skillset and/or advice with which to manage the business’ revenues and expenses to maximise long term profitability and cash generation,
• provide leadership, direction and management of the Group’s finance function, ensuring it is appropriately structured and staffed,
• overseeing financial planning including working alongside the Senior Management Team to produce long term financial forecasts and annual/quarterly rolling budgets,
• critical appraisal of capital projects including return on investment,
• advising on merger and acquisition opportunities,
• structuring and obtaining appropriate short and long-term debt and equity funding, if required in the future,
• overseeing cash management including short-term cash flow/liquidity requirements,
• strategic management of the external auditor relationship including the Group company audits, the SAR audit and production of the annual statutory accounts.
• deal with Company Secretarial matters and take minutes of board meetings, as required.
In addition, the CFO will be appointed as the Group MLRO, responsible for drafting and compliance with all AML policies and procedures (working alongside the MLCO and Risk and Compliance Director) and reporting suspicions to and liaising with the NCA as required under the AML Regulations.
The ideal candidate will a formally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) finance leader / executive with at least 5 years PQE and ideally have previous experience gained operating within a regulated professional / legal / financial services business / group
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting measures
• Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues and tax planning
• Experience of strong cash/treasury management including management of banking relationships
• Strong leadership, communication, people and organisational skills
• Able to work with diplomacy and assertiveness
