My client is a well regarded SME Business based in Ashby, Leicestershire.

*IMMEDIATE START*

We have a varied and challenging vacancy for an experienced Finance Administrator.

Principal Accountabilities:

– Purchase ledger duties, including tracking and coding invoices and entering them onto Xero accounting system
– Ensure that Purchase Ledger Accounts are set up and maintained correctly
– Carry out regular supplier statement reconciliations
– Match purchase invoices with purchase orders where necessary, and reject to the supplier if a valid reference is not on the invoice
– Ensure all purchase invoices are entered to Xero in a timely manner
– Ensure that all invoices are treated correctly for VAT purposes
– Credit check suppliers as applicable
– Ensure that VAT returns are reconciled and completed on time and within the HMRC guidelines (training available)
– Ensure that Expense claims are processed on time each month to be paid along with salaries – claims to be checked and rejected if they do not adhere to the policy
– Resolving general finance queries effectively in a timely manner
– Assisting the Office Manager with ad hoc administration duties as required

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:
– Strong administrative skills
– Broad range of accounts / admin experience
– Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills, able to prioritise workload to deadlines with good time management
– Happy to work alone and autonomously, but equally happy to be part of a small team, and ‘help out’ within the team where required
– Good knowledge of Microsoft Office based systems, to include Word and Excel
– Knowledge of Xero accounts package and the Salesforce platform would be advantageous

Experience:

The ideal candidate will have an administrative background, with previous experience of working hands-on in a finance administration role.
