My client is a well established (1940’s) and expanding family owned business operating within both sales and installation machinery across the UK.

Due to internal movement, FRS have been engaged to assist with the recruitment of a Finance Manager to join the business, to work from their offices based Nr Sutton Coldfield.

Reporting into the Finance Director and wider SLT, this is a varied and challenging opportunity.

• Production of monthly management accounts for two legal entities
• Cash flow management and forecasting
• Rolling 12 month forecast for profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Quarterly VAT returns, P11D, ONS and CIS submissions
• Overseeing and managing sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control, payroll and banking administration – making electronic payments according to business requirements
• Managing a finance team of 6, including developing, mentoring, support and appraisal
• Direct point of contact with external professional bodies – Auditors, HMRC and debt recovery specialists
• Arranging and negotiating hire purchase agreements for capital expenditure and energy contracts
• Maintaining and developing internal controls / business processes (including systems)
• Project profitability analysis

The ideal candidate will be working towards ACCA / CIMA Qualification if not already qualified, and have previous experience gained in a similar position.

Those that are QBE or AAT Qualified with suitable experience will also be considered.

A good level of IT Literacy is required, with MS Excel to pivot and look up level being essential and experience of Sage being desirable.

Experience gained within Logistics or Construction based industries is desirable.

A basic salary of £40,000 to £45,000 DOE plus benefits can be offered.
