FRS are recruiting an Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant for a fast growing SME based in Coventry.

Working as part of a small finance team, you”ll be responsible for the duties listed below – covering purchase ledger, credit control, sales ledger & supporting the month end duties. Ideally, you will have good SAGE & MS Excel experience BUT most importantly, be personable and a good team player!

Suitable candidates will have 3-4 years similar experience in an all round transactional finance role within an SME business. Due to the company expanding at a good rate, this role will be suitable for anyone looking to grow into a more senior role within a 1-2 year time frame.

Duties will include:
Purchase Ledger – processing supplier invoices, resolving queries, processing payments & reconciliations
Sales Ledger – credit control reporting, analysing troublesome accounts, resolving queries
Assisting processing a monthly payroll including posting journals
Assisting with monthly balance sheet reconciliations – fixed assets, debtors, prepayments & accruals
Monthly VAT returns
