Our client is a leading International business within the Manufacturing industruy with their UK head office based in Burton-upon-Trent easily accessable from across both East and West Midlands.
Following internal promotiion, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recuritment of a Financial Accountant to join the business on a full time permanent basis (hybrid working offered)
Reporitng into the Group Financial Controller the Financial Accountant will
– Assisting and preparing Financial Accounts for the Group and its subsidiaries
– Management of audit process and liaison with external auditors and internal stakeholders across the Group
– Develop and roll-out standard processes and audit templates to enable high quality, right first-time submissions supported by validated source data with a clear audit-trail.
– Prepare and assist on Balance Sheet reconciliations including Group inter-company position for month end management accounting and Year End statutory reporting.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a track record of demonstrating high levels of accountability, be financially astute, with significant experience of statutory accounting and internal/external audit. Able to confidently work with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare statutory accounts
Assist with Group consolidation
Prepare and assist with audit pack for Group and subsidiaries
Using audit tracking software co-ordinate and drive Group Audit
Balance Sheet reconciliations
Support month end management account process and Budget
Ad hoc projects supporting the CEO, CFO and Group FC
Liaison with external advisers on statutory audit and related activities
The ideal candidate will be formally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or nearing qualification with at least 2-3 years previous experience gained within financial accounting.
A good understanding of UK Gaap / IFRS is desriable and a good level of IT Literacy and confidence engageing with key stakeholders across the business also essential.
Those currently working within practice but seeking a move into industry will also be considered and could prove to be a ideal first move with excellent prospects of future growth within Financial / management / commercial accountning.
This position is being offered on a hybrid working basis and will include candidates attending the office in Burton Upon Trent around 2 days per week.
in return a basic salary of £45,000 to £55,000 coupled with excellent benifits and development can be offered.
