Our client is a dynamic and forward thinking SME £4m T/O business supplying into the construction industry and form a key part of a larger group.
Due to forthcoming retirement of a long term employee, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Management Accountant to join the business.
This position will work closely with the Business Unit MD and also have wider exposure to Group taking a lead role in the Management & Financial Accounting for the Coventry based business.
My client has a unique offering in terms of being able to offer this position on either a Full or Part Time basis by evolving or narrowing the tasks based around the candidate.
This opportunity promises to be varied and challenging and will play a key role in the company’s ongoing success and expansion plans.
Production of monthly management accounts with analysis of variances and commentary
Work with MD and Group Finance annual budget preparation and reforecast
Provide analysis and commentary showing a monthly result, monthly vs budget, YTD by month and YTD against budget.
Carrying out a rolling 3-month forecast, considering factors discussed with the MD.
Cleansing and updating the fixed asset register, therefore updating the depreciation schedule and enabling the company to make better decisions regarding purchases.
Business Partner with key stakeholders across the business driving improvement
Assisting Accounts Assistant with Processing of all purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank transactions.
Management of company Bank Accounts & Credit Cards, Petty Cash / Cash Books to include payments to suppliers and expenses
Monthly & Quarterly returns to include VAT and assist in the timely processing of Payroll
Support Group Finance and External Accountants as required with ongoing improvement projects.
Daily use of Sage and MS Excel
The ideal candidate will be Qualified or working towards qualification (AAT / ACCA / CIMA) however those that are QBE / Stop Studiers but have demonstrated experience will be considered.
Previous experience gained using Sage is desirable but not essential and experience gained either within or supplying into the construction industry a advantage but not essential.
A basic salary of up to £42,000 coupled with benefits and profit related bonus awaits. Study Support can be offered too.
