My client is a well regarded and rapidly expanding business based in Corby.

Due to expansion they now have a vacancy for a Sales Ledger Administrator to join the team on a full time permenant basis.


Prepare weekly reports for cash flow purposes and liaising with Central Finance on this and other matters.

Bank reconciliation with QuickBooks and Exchequer for payment received matched to orders / proformas with various currencies and payment methods. Sales ledger month end procedures and sending of statements.

Resolve discrepancies with payments.

Raising sales orders, invoices (via sales team or website), credit notes and refunds where required via various methods.

Creating customer accounts fully and accurately, especially overseas for vat rates and Eori numbers etc.

Allocation of payments and allowing release of goods.

Informing customers of delays in dispatch and / or manufacturing.

Good knowledge of GL codes, order scheduling and stock scheduling and liaising with factory.

International and domestic shipping knowledge required. Knowledge of declarations, commodity codes and customs is essential.

The role will be supporting, manufacturing, finance, dispatch, procurement, sales and management.

It’s a solo role with extensive experience being essential.

Assessing credit worthiness and using Creditsafe and understanding of the customers, liaising with internal / external salesperson to recommend credit limits. The candidate needs to question and use their own initiative.

Responsible for credit control, understanding the importance of credit terms. Chasing customers where necessary to make payments.

Understanding of supplier payments.

The role involves responding to a large number of emails from customers, shippers etc.

The ideal candidate needs to be a self starter, confident and have at least 5 years experience on a similar role.
