FRS are recruiting an Assistant Accountant to work on a 12 month FTC, covering maternity leave.
Working alongside the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing accounts up to trial balance and providing ad hoc support to the Financial Controller when needed, specifically during month end.
You must have experience of working within a SME environment previously, be able to start as of May 2021 and commit to working until May 2022 on a 37.5 hour working week, 9am to 5pm.
– Maintenance of the Purchase Ledger, including maintaining and filing invoices, processing petty cash and expenses
– Assisting with credit control
– Processing payroll (experience would be ideal but not essential – must be willing to learn)
– Bank and statement reconciliations
– Assisting with ad hoc reporting and month end assistance
– Maintaining the cashbook
– Assisting with VAT returns
The 12 month contract will run from May 2021 to May 2022, suitable applicants will ideally be able to start work W/C 3rd May.
