We are looking for an all-round accounts candidate to work in a leading company with a busy finance department.

You will be joining a small and friendly team, to support this rapidly expanding business.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting Credit Control by chasing overdue payments, processing sales invoices and taking payments
• Supporting Purchase Ledger by processing purchase invoices, dealing with payment queries, updating the purchase ledger
• Daily bank reconciliations and updating payments on sales and purchase ledgers
• Assist in the preparation of Weekly BACS payment Runs
• Processing and Inputting Staff Expenses and Credit Card Claims
• Filing of Sales Invoices and Purchase Invoices
• Raising Sales Invoices when required
• Ad hoc analysis of Sales or Purchase accounts

Experience required:

• Must hold a professional accountancy qualification such as AAT, or be working towards an accounting qualification
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Have a good understanding of sales ledger and purchase ledger processes
• Have a positive outlook and be self-motivated, and proactive in seeking solutions to problems
• Excellent attention to detail and able to work without supervision
• Experience of Sage 50 Accounts
• Excellent Excel skills and good knowledge of MS Office
• Some experience of improving processes
• Excellent oral and written skills, and good interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and other departments
