We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance department based in the office in St Albans, on a permanent basis.

You will work as part of a small team, and ideally have previous all round accounts experience.

Main Duties:

• Accounts / Bookkeeping
• Posting sales / purchase invoices and reconciling sales and purchase ledgers
• Posting receipts and payments and reconciling bank accounts
• Preparing and posting month end journals including accruals, prepayments, deferred income and expenditure, and depreciation
• Input stock movements and reconciling with trial balance figures
• Posting month end salary information
• Close down month end reports and year end balances
• Preparation and submission of clients monthly / quarterly VAT returns under MTD
• Deal with any queries which may arise from clients, as primary contact for own portfolio of clients
