My client is a well-respected and rapidly expanding privately owned business with ambitious plans for continued expansion with a UK Head Office based in Swadlincote and therefore easily commutable from across the East and West Midlands

Due to the above, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Accounts / Finance Manager to operate under the Group Finance Director and assist with the day to day running of a busy finance office.

The ideal candidate will be working towards AAT / ACCA / CIMA with at least 3-5 years prior experience within Financial / Management Accounting.

The role will provide accountability and responsibility from the outset, with immediate management accounting responsibility for small businesses within the group, and a view to the individual taking on reporting responsibility for the larger businesses in the group as well as activity from the GFD

• Responsible for preparation of management accounts
• Process Improvement Activity
• Supporting Group Finance Director in all Finance activity
• Financial Analysis
• Ad-hoc Reporting to Group Finance Director
• Year End Audit support
• Management Support
• Supplier Payments and bank management
• Cash Flow forecasting
• Management of accounts assistant / apprentice
• VAT returns & Corporation Tax reporting
• Payroll, PAYE, and holiday reporting
• Balance Sheet Review and Bank reconciliation
• Maintaining ERP system data
Key Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Competencies
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent IT skills including (Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with SAP, SAGE and Quickbooks preferable
• Financial and commercial acumen
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Excellent bookkeeping skills
• Organised and methodical and able to deliver work to a defined timescale
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Resilient
