FRS are recruiting an Accounts Payable Team Leader for an ever growing business who are a true market leader in their sector.

Due to a recent restructure within the finance department, the business are now ready to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable professional who can lead this section of the finance team.

The role will suit someone who is confident in managing KPI”s, performing 121”s, has excellent interpersonal skills, is approachable, but most of all – someone who wants to have fun at work and ensure that they have a happy team.

Duties will include:

• Provide additional leadership / assistance to the team with regards to account concerns
• Management of communication systems and documentation systems for the Teams, to ensure responses to Customer and Suppliers is adequate and completed regularly as per the business requirements
• Monitoring of key and high risk suppliers
• Assistance with intercompany accounts, invoices and payments
• Overall support for process with teams to ensure all are completed as required, and reducing any issues to allow for a quality service to suppliers
• Assisting in being a primary contact for any issues or escalations on company service levels
• Intervening with situations where problems arise internally or externally with suppliers, and finding a resolution
• Ensuring processes for each team are completed as per guidelines and in line with the business needs
• Reviewing and approval of supplier and internal payments and expenses
• Insurance team support as and when required, in line with the Transactional Finance dept
• General support on AP processes and ability to complete where required
• Finance review and approval of any refunds or misc payments made to customer or supplier accounts
• Reporting and analysing of monthly Purchase Ledger with Transactional Finance Manager
• Analyse aged creditors
• Assistance with cash forecasting
• Control and maintaining of data spreadsheets for each team, ensuring data is completed monthly and issued to relevant internal departments where necessary
• Monitor team members in need of additional guidance and support, assist with measuring performance levels
• Assist with maintaining a full record of sickness / holidays for the team members
• Provide support to the Transactional Finance Manager on staff appraisals, to ensure completion / approval is met within the specified time given
• Establish training requirements for team members, and liaise with Transactional Finance Manager and HR to organise
• Be a primary support to the teams on a daily basis, alongside the Transactional Finance Manager
• Report any key concerns within the team to the Transactional Finance Manager
• Provide ongoing training and system support to the teams
