My client is looking to recruit an Accounts Trainee, the main duties to include:
• Assist with client payroll preparations
• Assist with client bookkeeping jobs and completion of VAT returns
• Income and Expenditure Accounts for Self-Employed, and Rental Statements for Landlords
• Accounts for Sole traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
• Answer phone and deal with client and other enquiries
• Assist more senior staff as and when needed
Other job requirements:
• AAT Level 3 or above
• Previous practice experience
• Payroll experience preferred
• Knowledge of cloud packages definitely an advantage, accreditations preferred but not essential as can be done (Xero, QuickBooks, Kashflow, FreeAgent, Brightpay)
• Good organisational skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work on own and as part of a team
• Full driving license required, for client on-site visits
