My client is one of the UK’s leading award-winning brand agencies, boasting an enviable portfolio of clients, based in Leicestershire.
The role of Assistant Account is a varied role and one that forms a fundamental part of the accounts department, within a small and friendly finance team of 5 people in a fast-paced environment where every day is different.
As the Assistant Accountant you will support the Financial Controller with the monthly management accounts and act as support for internal and external stakeholders.
Duties to include:
• Assist with the production of management accounts for 11 businesses
• Sales and Cost reconciliations
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Monthly Bank reconciliations
• Post accrual/prepayment journals to the system
• Process company credit cards and manage reporting of spend
• Maintain fixed assets and run depreciation monthly
• Assist the FC improving processes and reporting
• Managing Sales Reporting
• Managing Invoicing for the Brand Department
• Assist with annual audit
• Adhoc analysis for key stakeholders
Key Requirements
• Part qualified or studying towards CIMA/ACCA
• 2-3 years in similar role and experience
• High level of attention to detail
• Able to multitask
• Must to be proactive and manage own workload to meet required deadlines
• Able to communicate with various stakeholders in the business
• Excellent Excel skills and good knowledge of Office 365 products
• Prior experience of Sage 50 or Xero would be desirable but not essential
