FRS are recruiting a Bookkeeper for a SME Engineering business based in Birmingham.
Working in a small team of three, you will be the senior go-to within the finance department, supporting two Finance Assistants in their day to day activity, but not managing their workload.
The business use a bespoke system, but ideally you will be savvy with new IT systems and not afraid of learning something new quite quickly (external support is offered if needs be).
Duties will include:
– Maintaining the Purchase and Sales Ledger
– Process all supplier, expenses and salary payments
– Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
– Assist with the month end close of ledgers in line with agreed time scales
– Maintain fixed asset records
– Posting of cash book entries and bank reconciliations
– Divisional and cost centre reporting
– Assist Financial Director with Monthly reporting routine
– Assisting with Credit Control
