FRS are recruiting a Bookkeeper for a leading firm of Accountants based in the South Birmingham area.

Suitable candidates will have 2-3 years experience working within an Accountancy Firm & confident with both Sage & Xero BUT the systems knowledge isn”t essential! You”ll be working in a fantastic office environment that”s fitted out with a staff restaurant, fitness studio (free of charge) and chill out rooms!

Duties Will Include:
The production and analysis of monthly management accounts with budget comparisons
Analysis work (using Excel)
Bank reconciliations
Reconciliations of control accounts (including debtors, creditors, payroll, VAT, PAYE / NIC and other payroll related controls
Preparations of month end / year-end adjustments including prepayments, accruals, deferred.
Income and depreciation
Bank, sales, purchase, and nominal ledger postings
The processing and reconciliation of employee expenses
Credit control
VAT returns/reconciliation/reporting
Cash flow reporting
Managing of client payrolls and pensions schemes
Preparation and posting of normal ledger journals and reserves
Fixed assets and depreciation accounting
Time recording and billing of clients
