Job Description:

A family firm of Accountants based in Anstey, Leicestershire, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Bookkeeper / Administrator to hit the ground running and join our friendly team.

The Role:

The role will have the responsibility of the entire bookkeeping process for a portfolio of clients.

All bookkeeping duties using predominantly Sage Line 50, for the preparation of clients books such as:

– Sales and Purchase ledger inputting and maintenance
– Filing and referencing documents in a timely manner
– Agree client balances to supporting documentation
– Bank reconciliations
– Complete and submit VAT returns for allocated clients
– CIS knowledge (ideally)
– Accounts up to the Trial Balance stage ready to be given to the Accountants

Statutory Administration duties such as:

– Filing Annual Confirmation Statements to Companies House using our software
– Additional statutory paperwork for changes made by clients (training will be given)

Office Administration duties such as:

– Setting up new clients on in-house software systems
– Answering telephone calls
– Filing paperwork

Client relations:

– Develop and maintain good client relations
– Liaise with clients directly to resolve queries or obtain further information
– Ensure a high level of service to meet client expectations

Skills & Qualifications:

– Knowledge of Sage Line 50 software is essential
– Ideally, would have experience in a similar role
– AAT Qualified would be advantageous, however candidates qualified by experience would be considered
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
– Organised and methodical
– Client focused
– Strong IT Skills
– Ability to work on your own initiative
– Efficient time management
– Ability to work to deadlines
