Primary responsibility of this role is to provide collection support and monitoring to the Manager for the Customer Accounts.

You will be the primary advocate for the National Sales team, and will work closely with the Manager to review the equity positions of the customer network. To discuss plans to minimise losses with the management team and provide weekly, monthly and quarterly loss projections, as well as reporting on the recovery performance.

Duties include:

• Work directly with customers to control delinquency and action debtor account collections
• Resolve customer queries and ascertain corrective action
• Report and track losses / delinquency
• Develop strong business relationships
• Answer queries concerning the credit and account status
• Recommend legal action as necessary
• Submission of accounts for write-off as necessary
• Ensure collection and repossession procedures are adhered to
• Determine and negotiate partial and extended payments
• Analysis of the accounts in your control
• Formulating monthly action plans to achieve goals

Key skills required:

• Ideally, have a degree (or equivalent) level education or significant directly related collections experience
• A professional telephone manner
• Excellent computer skills and knowledge, including Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Outgoing, positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
• Able to demonstrate a strong ability to work independently
• Have excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
