Out client is a well-respected SME business within the sales & distribution industry ideally located in North Leicestershire.
Following internal movements, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Company Accountant / Book Keeper to join the business.
Reporting directly into the Managing Director the successful candidate will look after the below duties.
• Reporting into the Managing Director operating as the sole Accountant within the business.
• Timely production of company management accountants with commentary to MD
• Journals, Accruals, Pre Payments and management of fixed assets
• Completion of company returns to include VAT / Intrastat
• Creation of reports to provide insight on business performance and management of stock.
• Management of company bank accounts and ensuring smooth cash flow.
• Regular reconciliations Bank and Balance Sheet
• Processing and payment of supplier invoices
• Invoices of Customers and allocation of payments on receipt
• Chasing of aged debtors – sending letters and invoices
• Assist review and improve processes, controls and systems
• Involved in system migration and implementation of Kerridge
• Daily use of MS Excel, Office and Kerridge
The ideal candidate will be working towards formal qualification (AAT / ACCA / CIMA) with at least 2 years’ experience gained in a varied end to end finance role.
Those that are QBE but have demonstrated experience will be considered.
A good level of IT Literacy is also key to include MS Excel with knowledge of Sage or Kerridge being massively desirable.
Due to the standalone nature of this position candidates will need to have the confidence and ability to work with limited supervision.
A basic salary of £40,000 coupled with benefits await.
