My client, a leading professional within the business service sector, is recruiting for a Contracts and Status Specialist due to expansion within the organisation.
Having worked in an IR35 / Tax role, is not essential but it would be desirable.
With a location of North Leicestershire, easily commutable from the East Midlands.
Salary of up to £26,000, depending on experience.
Duties will include:
To review contracts and provide IR35 advice to contractors via e-mail, and phone. To assist the sales team with IR35 queries and referred insurance orders where necessary.
Contract Assessment and Review of Contractor Status. This involves assessing a contractor contracts on an individual basis and determining their IR35 status, resulting in an either inside or outside of IR35 determination, with recommendations as to how the contract can be improved or made to be an outside opinion.
Contract Re-reviews. Once an assessment has been performed, and alterations are suggested, re-review the contract and provide a revised opinion.
Review of working practices. Similar to the above but based on the reality of a contractor actual working practices, rather than contractual terms.
Online IR35 Status tests. Based upon Contractors working practices arrangements, in line with Public Sector Guidelines / incoming private sector guidelines, and where required liaising with all relevant parties regarding the outcome.
Telephone consultancy services. Generally, IR35 related questions, and IR35 insurance-based questions where appropriate.
Email queries regarding IR35 / insurance / general tax / Section 660a relate matters.
Referred insurance orders – Checking to see why an order has been referred and requesting any necessary information from client, to make an informed opinion on whether an insurance application should be accepted or rejected.
Writing articles and case studies around IR35, and related matters where required.
Assisting the sales team with IR35 and Insurance related matters.
Performing IR35 liability calculations.
Assist the consultancy team.
Assist in the training of new staff within all departments where required.
Skills and Experience Specification:

– Experience in the use of Microsoft suite
– The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
– Good telephone manner
