FRS are recruiting a Credit Control Manager for a well known business based near Birmingham Airport. A salary of c.£35-40k is attached and the opportunity to work with a welcoming, hard-working and ambitious team awaits!
Reporting into the Head of Finance, your job will be to ensure that revenue and credit owed to the company is paid in a timely and accurate manner and assess and manage the business’ credit risk by ensuring all new customers are thoroughly vetted and month end accounts are reconciled.
Suitable candidates will have lead / managed Credit Control teams of a minimum 2-3 previously BUT candidates looking for their first step into a managerial role will of course also be considered.
Duties will include:
Creating and upholding payment procedures and policies that ensure timely payment
Responding to client queries
Keeping customer retention levels high
Keeping close watch on debtor account balances
Reducing debtors’ ‘Days Sales Outstanding’
Ensuring the team adhere to credit and collection procedures
Set-up standard computer-based letters with the relevant automated reminders
Produce debtors report for board meetings with ‘stop’ accounts suggestions where necessary
Audit of company bank account for payments sent and received against company debtors list
Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct
Raising Credit Notes
Completing Credit Checks
Sales ledger maintenance; to include updating of client contact details etc
Working with spreadsheets and sales ledgers
Providing administrative support to finance team
