FRS are recruiting a Finance Assistant for an established and rapidly growing SME based in Coventry. Working with an experienced Bookkeeper and also utilising an external firm of accountants, you will be responsible for taking the reigns for transactional finance duties for the business and with the business growing, there will be long term career opportunities!

Duties will include:
Purchase ledger including processing invoices, raising / resolving queries
Sales ledger including raising & sending out invoices and answering queries
Credit control – calling customers and clearing any aged debt, resolving queries and escalating troublesome accounts to management
Management of the company credit card and expenses documentation including any ad-hoc admin attached / requested
Submitting any documents required by the external firm of accountants who the business use
Ad-hoc reporting and support as requested by the MD
Bank reconciliations

The successful candidate will have / be:
Someone who can work well on their own initiative but also work well with the wider team – confident to enquire with other departments and resolve queries efficiently
Experienced with using Sage 50 and MS Excel
If you are qualified / studying your AAT this would be an advantage
Have experience of working within a fast paced SME environment who have an “everyone chips in” mindset to working, especially during staff holidays / sickness etc
