Main Role and Responsibilities:

• Processing of all invoices and credits, matching to POs and identifying / resolving queries.
• Manage supplier queries, with internal departments / suppliers until resolution.
• Manage supplier accruals and prepayment lists.
• Requesting copy invoices where not received.
• Chasing suppliers for VAT Invoices.
• Reconciling supplier statements.
• Processing monthly company credit cards.
• Generating weekly payment runs for MD approval, processing within Bankline.
• Matching POD’s to Invoices.
• Maintain filing of finance paperwork.
• Tracking costs against budget, flagging unexpected increases and checking to budget controls.
• Process courier / Royal Mail invoices using various systems / resources.
• Processing new supplier set ups – credit checking, securing senior sign-off, setting up on systems.
• Processing monthly childcare vouchers in line with procedure to ensure ready for payroll.
• Reconcile internal systems to Sage 50, resolve any discrepancies.
• Ensuring Company Vehicles MOT / TAX are up to date, making payments as necessary.
• Maintain all process documentation.
• Ad hoc finance projects.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a busy finance office, in a purchase ledger role
• Excellent attention to detail, and levels of accuracy
• Team player, with confident yet approachable personality
• Highly skilled with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Exceptional prioritisation and organisation skills, able to manage changing priorities with ease
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Experience using Sage 50 or similar
• Good knowledge of VAT coding rules
