My client is a well-regarded FTSE PLC listed business, operating within the house building and construction industry.
Due to internal promotion, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Finance Director Designate.
This position is being recruited on a full time, permanent basis and will be based from the client’s offices in Leicestershire, with scope to work from home or an other office 3 days per week.
Role Purpose:
• Provide support and challenge to the New Business team around strategy, financial and legal structure and financial reporting implications for all new business tenders
• Work with the Divisional Heads of Finance to drive best practice Business Partnering
• Support the Regional Finance Director and Regional Chief Executive in implementing and maintaining medium term targets, including ownership of the Divisional 5 year forecast, budget and relevant KPIs
• Oversee the financial and management reporting process for the Region
• Oversee the review, strengthening and harmonisation of financial reporting and control processes across the Region. Ensure processes are delivered consistently, efficiently and in line with Group policies and best practice
• Responsibility for development and succession planning within the Regional Finance team
• Take a leading role across the wider Finance team to enhance and develop Group policies, processes and systems
• Act as a key Business Partner to senior stakeholders within the Region
• Attend regional board meetings and other meetings as the central finance representative
• Ad hoc project work / reporting as required by Group Finance, Regional Finance Director and / or Regional CEO
The ideal candidate will be formally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with PQE.
Previous experience gained within a Corporate or PLC business is preferred, and experience of House Building or Construction is also desirable, but not essential.
Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate a mix of accounting ability, leadership skills and ability to business partner and influence across Region, Divisional and Group.
A competitive basic salary of up to £80,000 plus Car Allowance, excellent benefits and sizeable bonus earning potential can be offered.
