Our client is a high growth, international business operating within the Tech Industry with their UK head office ideally located in Stafford / Staffordshire with hybrid working offered.
As part of the companies continued growth and with succession planning in mind, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of an Accountant to join the business as Finance Manager.

Overview

Duties
Financial Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial reporting and analysis, including monthly management accounts with commentary and ad-hoc analysis required by the business. Ensure all required reconciliations are completed regularly to verify the accuracy of the balance sheet figures.
Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Ensure proper recording, filing, and reporting of all financial transactions.
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Liaise with tax advisors to prepare and submit tax returns and other necessary documentation in a timely manner.
Internal Controls and Audit: Maintain effective internal controls to ensure accuracy in financial statements. Coordinate and assist with external audit processes.
Team Management: Manage the finance team in daily operations. Offer training, guidance and regular check-ins to support their development. Provide continuous feedback and ensure performance issues are taken care of on a timely basis following internal HR processes.
Recruitment: Take an active role in the recruitment and onboarding of new finance team members.
Policy Development: Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Business Partnering: Work closely with department heads and operational teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making. Act as a key finance contact for cross-functional projects and ensure alignment between financial objectives and business goals.
Communication with the Wider Business: Act as a key point of contact for financial matters and processes, ensuring clear and effective communication with other departments.
Process Improvement: Constantly assess and refine financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Cash Flow Management: Oversee day-to-day cash flow requirements of the business, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs. Work closely with banks to optimise the efficiency of the Group’s banking and credit cards operations.
Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including employee expenses and credit card transactions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and efficient management of collections.
The ideal candidate will be working towards ACA / ACCA / CIMA (If not already qualified) and ideally have the benefit of at least 3-4 years previous finance experience ideally gained in a broad position covering management / financial accounting

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
• Proficiency in financial software and systems including Excel
