Our client is a well regarded Medium sized business operating within the Manufacturing Industry with its UK Head Office based in Minworth / West Midlands area.
As a result of continued expansion, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a newly created role within Group Finance
This newly created role will work closely with the Group CFO and Group Financial Controller with the emphasis on assisting with Financial Accounting, Corporate Tax and VAT for the group
With being newly created this position has great scope to be adjusted around the successful candidate however a brief overview as to some of the expected duties can be seen below
• Corporation tax – liaison with BDO Tax, agreeing tax computations and returns, instructing payments, implementing appropriate reporting tools/analyses
• VAT – liaison with relevant Management Accounts personnel, agreeing returns, instructing payments, implementing appropriate reporting tools/analyses
• Intrastat – liaison with relevant Management Accounts personnel, agreeing returns, implementing appropriate reporting tools/analyses
• EC Sales lists (Ireland) – liaison with relevant Management Accounts personnel, agreeing returns, implementing appropriate reporting tools/analyses
• Customs processes – liaison with Supply Chain and Audit/Compliance, determine appropriate protocols and control processes and ensure adhered to
• Pillar II – liaison with BDO Tax, JPP, etc to establish ETR (Effective Tax Rate), ”safe harbour”, etc
• Transfer pricing – liaison with BDO Tax, JPP, etc to establish TP masterfile, detailed TP document, justification of i/c pricing, benchmarking to prove ”arms length” rates, etc
• ERS reporting – liaison with BDO Tax
• liaison with Supply Chain and Audit/Compliance, determine appropriate protocols and control processes and ensure adhered to, instructing payments, implementing appropriate reporting tools/analyses
• Ownership of HMRC relationship – establish relationship with HMRC CRM (Customer Relationship Manager)
• Due diligence on potential M&A targets

• Employment taxes – PAYE, NI, Termination payments, Post Employment Notice Period (PENP), PSA, salary sacrifice, expats, IR35
• Stamp duty land tax
• Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)
This role promises to be varied and progressive with genuine scope to refine and broaden the position over time.
Being part of a dynamic and high growth group finance team, this role also offers excellent scope for long term development into other areas of finance too.
This position is ideally suited to a ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant (ideally practice trained) either seeking a 1st or 2nd move into industry and has the benefit of previous experience and interest in working across Tax, VAT and Financial Accounting.
Those that are QBE or working towards qualification but have demonstrated experience will be considered.
This role is being offered on a permanent basis with excellent benefits, a basic salary up to £65,000 and Bonus being offered
