My client is a well regarded faith business (Christian), with a history of local trade within the East Midlands for over 50 Years.
Due to continued growth, they have now engaged FRS to assist in the recruitment of a Financial Controller to join the business based in South Nottinghamshire, therefore easily commutable from across the East Midlands.
The role will report directly to the Finance Director, and will oversee all matters relating to internal and external financial reporting and regulatory reporting.
The role will include supervision and line management of the small Finance team. It will include responsibility for Treasury and cashflow management, including chairing the Treasury Committee.
The role will suit either a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or an exceptional candidate qualified by experience.
Good experience of preparing statutory accounts (FRS102) and a high level of IT and systems competence is necessary.
A working knowledge of tax including payroll, corporation tax and VAT, along with previous experience of liaising with external auditors is necessary.
Preparing and reviewing regulatory returns for an industry regulator, such as the PRA or FCA would be highly desirable.
Experience as an external or internal auditor would also be advantageous, therefore a 1st move from a top 50 practice would also be considered.
