My client is a well regarded and rapidly expanding multifaceted group of companies, providing both products and services to a wide range of household names, and have continued to thrive during these unusual economic times.
Due to the above expansion, they now have a vacancy for a Qualified Accountant to join the business as Group Finance Manager.
Reporting into the MD of the divisional business, you will work from the offices on the Leicestershire / Derbyshire / Nottinghamshire borders, and will be responsible for overseeing the finance and accounting function, including financial controls, standards, and consolidated group reporting, as well as providing analytical and strategic guidance to the Board in relation to building enterprise value.
This is a lead finance position, taking responsibility for a small team covering the below.
•Overseeing the monthly adjustments process, ensuring that appropriate and consistent financial controls and standards are in place across the group.
•Driving consolidated Group reporting, with presentation and analysis to the Board on a monthly basis.
•Conducting detailed financial analysis of all aspects of group, individual company, and engagement operations to provide high value insights to help drive growth and profitability.
•Having responsibility for the implementation and management of our Professional Services Automation software, providing support to the delivery teams where necessary, and driving best practise in its use.
•Having responsibility of overseeing the Financial Controller(s) and Financial Administrators, to ensure smooth running of all financial operations (currently a team of 4 FTE).
•Experience in all aspects of running a small business finance function, and formally qualified in ACA / ACCA / CIMA.
•Commercial awareness is equally important as financial acumen, with the desire to add value to the business and its mainstream operations.
•Highly capable in understanding and use of complex systems, in order to champion the use of our professional services automation software.
