Our client is a well-respected privately owned group of companies with interests across the Construction and House Building Industry with a combined Turnover of around £200m
As part of the companies continued expansion, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a newly created Group Financial Controller Position.

With the clients Hybrid working offering coupled with the ideal head office location close to M6 / M6 Toll / M54 / M42 this role is equally accessible to those residing in both West and East Midlands.

Reporting into the Group Finance Director and closely with the Finance Heads within 3 Divisional Business Units candidates can expect to get involved in the below BAU Finance Tasks alongside a number of continuous improvement projects as required with the companies continued expansion.
• Overseeing the production and consolidation of monthly management accounts of multiple regions and companies
• Cashflow management and forecasting
• Control of the budgeting and forecasting process and consolidating for presentation to the Board
• Control of the annual audit process and overseeing the production of statutory accounts
• Business partnering with the Board and regional Senior Leadership Teams to provide analysis and advice on tax and accounting issues
• Management of Finance department of 10 staff.
• Ownership of the companies’ financial processes and controls
• Company Secretarial duties
• Ensuring compliance with all tax and accounting laws and regulations
• Assist with future M&A / Integration projects as part of the companies continued expansion.

The ideal candidate will be formally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with around 3 years PQE gained in a similar position.
Those that are QBE or Part Qualified but have demonstrated experience gained in a similar finance leadership position with be considered.
Whilst a good technical accounting grounding is required this role still retains a strong commercial involvement including business partnering with key stakeholders across the divisional businesses.
A passion for continuous improvement is also required with this position taking a lead role in a number of key projects (Processes, Controls and Systems)
Strong leadership skills are also required as this vacancy will also take ownership for the newly formed central finance team consisting of 10 Qualified / Part Qualified / Operational Finance Professionals

In return a basic salary of up to £90,000 25% Bonus, Excellent Benefits Package, Hybrid working can be offered.
