Role Overview
The main requirements of this role are to provide accurate financial and management information on a periodic and ad-hoc basis, delivering insights and recommendations to senior managers, aiding decision making, drive innovative margin and process improvements within Finance and the wider organisation.
• Provide timely and accurate finance information to the internal and external stakeholders, and ensure the consistency, reliability and efficiency of information gathering, validation and aggregation.
• Manage portfolio of externally leased assets. Reporting monthly to Group on latest status of portfolio; and develop reporting.
• Process fixed asset acquisitions and disposals in M3, issuing CAPEX numbers and maintaining the CAPEX register, ensuring compliance with the Authority Matrix, highlighting potential obsolescence, and maintaining the balance sheet suspense accounts, clearing down accounts as required.
• Resolution of internal and external customer queries in a timely manner, review aged items and take ownership for resolution.
• Management of IFRS16 Reporting.
• Reconcile and maintain on monthly basis Balance Sheet Accounts (relating to All Fixed Assets)
• Develop and manage monthly reconciliation report, between Statutory Accounts, Fixed Asset Register and General Ledger Accounts.
• Support the business in the preparation of forecasts and budgets.
• Support production of key data for the Group finance team
• Deputise specific/agreed tasks for Senior Accountant/team member during Holiday, Sickness / peak periods.
• Work with the Treasury Controller and external parties, to develop various Asset Reports and maintain on a monthly basis.
• Manage the physical audit of assets.
The ideal candidate will be working towards ACA / ACCA / CIMA if not already qualified and ideally have at least 2-3 years previous experience gained in a similar Management Accounting / Financial Accounting / Business Partnering focused position.
Due to the level of external communication / business partnering within this role, excellent interpersonal and communications skills and strong analytical ability is essential for this role.
