My client is a well-respected and rapidly expanding privately owned business with ambitious plans for continued expansion with a UK Head Office based in Daventry and therefore easily commutable.
FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Management Accountant / Finance Manager to join the business on a initial Maternity Cover for 1 year.
This vacancy will be supported by a excellent and high calibre Finance Director and offers excellent scope for development as the company continues to grow.
The ideal candidate will Qualified / Part Qualified AAT / ACCA / CIMA with at least 1-2 years prior experience within Management Accounting.
The role will provide accountability and responsibility from the outset, with immediate management accounting responsibility for small businesses within the group, and a view to the individual taking on reporting responsibility for the larger businesses in the group as well as activity from the Finance Manager.
Duties
• Responsible for assisting with the production of timely and accurate information for the monthly management report pack
• Responsible for assisting with the production of accurate and useful information for internal management accounts
• Improve content, accuracy, and efficiency of internal financial & management reporting
• Work closely with the Financial Controller to record and publish accurate financial results and improve company performance
• Demonstrate competence in all finance functions to provide support and cover when necessary
• Completion & submission of monthly board pack & associated documents to senior management
• Ensure Balance Sheet reconciliations are completed to a required standard
• Generate bank payments and maintain up-to-date payment templates
• Compile journals, and identify appropriate prepayments and accruals, to support accurate financial reporting at month end
• Submission of VAT returns through Sage under the Making Tax Digital rules
