My client is a well regarded and expanding business within the horticultural / fresh produce industry.

Due to expansion, they have engaged FRS to assist with the appointment of a Management Accountant to join the business, to both take ownership and develop the company’s accounting services.

This business is based in South Lincolnshire, however candidates will be able to work from home / remotely 2-3 days per week.


The role will involve the preparation of management accounts, cash flow forecasting, VAT returns and the preparation, management and submission of grant funded operating programmes.

The ideal candidate will be confident with presenting numbers and attending occasional board meetings. We are looking for someone with the ability and desire to become involved with inputting into the operational direction and management of the business.

The role will be on a flexible annualised hours basis to reflect the workload. Overall it equates to 3 days per week or 156 days per annum. This is a flexible working position with the ability to work from home and / or in the office for 21.75 hours per week, and there will be an occasional requirement to travel and attend meetings (which may require occasional early starts and late finishes).

Your working hours will reflect your client needs and expectations.

Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful applicant will also be expected to contribute to the wider management and development of the accounting team.

The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified (or qualified by extensive experience), with previous management accounting experience. The ability to demonstrate experience of working with a range of different clients, businesses and organisations is essential.

The salary will be dependent on experience and the contribution you can bring to the business.
