A family run accountancy practice based in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.
This role provides a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking modern practice, and being part of a team running the payroll service offered by us.
The Role:
• Processing of weekly / monthly payrolls, including RTI
• Issuing and distributing payslips (most electronically, but some by post)
• Processing SSP and SMP as required
• Liaising with clients for starters and leavers and issuing P45’s
• Processing pension payments with client pension providers (NEST)
• Issuing statutory letters for client employees regarding Auto Enrolment
• Ensuring clients are compliant with Auto Enrolment legislation
• Making required declarations to the Pensions Regulator when required
• Reviewing our HMRC agent gateway to agree PAYE liabilities and payments
• Year-end returns and P60 forms
• Filing and processing of CIS returns for main contractors
• Processing new client applications to register for PAYE
• Dealing with correspondence from HMRC on payroll related matters
• Dealing with occasional PAYE tax queries
The Requirements:
• Have previous experience working in a payroll environment
• Be prepared to work to established processes and procedures
• Have good interpersonal skills
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Have a track record of delivering excellent client service
• Have ability to work on own initiative unsupervised
• Have ability to work to strict deadlines
• Salary subject to previous experience and qualifications
Working Hours:
• Part time position
• 18 hours per week over three days, with flexibility to work extra if required
