We are looking to appoint a highly experienced Procurement Manager for a global business, which offers a progressive environment with enjoyment and development.

You must have significant previous procurement experience, ideally from within construction / building materials.

Job Responsibilities:

. Complete control of procurement, making sure there is always the correct stock profile across the whole portfolio.
. Liaising with overseas manufacturing plants, understand the process and adding your own judgement to help ensure best price, detailed and precise.
. Reducing slow moving stock items, enabling a turnover of stock approx. 8 times per year.
. Cost control from third party suppliers, keeping the business competitive, making sure the quality is correct and providing options of source.
. Logistics – Control of courier costs and their performance.
. Controlling credits from these companies, ensuring the business gets the correct return for all transactions. Ensuring competitiveness, yearly performance and pricing reviews.
. KPI’s – Being KPI driven in order to understand performance. This role will control these reports and work on improvements for the business.

This is a very strategic appointment and with it brings a challenge.
