FRS are recruiting a Purchase Ledger Manager for a well recognised business within the construction / civils sector in South Birmingham.

You will be responsible for the efficient running of the Purchase Ledger department within an established Finance team, for an ever growing and highly reputable business with a rich history within the UK.

Working for an innovative and forward thinking business, you will be a manager who is approachable and supportive to a range of colleagues with varying levels of experience. You will support the team in reaching collective goals and ensuring deadlines are met to high levels of accuracy.

Duties will include:

– Efficient and streamlined running of the Purchase Ledger department
– Motivate and support the team, providing assistance and support when needed
– Collation and utilising management information to make informed decisions
– Accomplishing departmental objectives to meet deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
– Review and certify that payments are accurate, and all audits are complete and correct at point of payment
– Ability to review work and ensure audits are carried out to a high standard
– Looking at trends, further training requirements for the team and potentially changing procedures to ensure error is mitigated
– Ensuring year end documentation is in line with audit requests
– Ensuring engagement with suppliers meets all company requirements
– Escalation of queries with departmental managers to close out continued issues
– Ensuring close out for month end processes, and all work is accurate and in line with department expectations
– Review of processes and procedures for efficient and accurate work
– Performance Management where required
