FRS are recruiting a Purchase Ledger Supervisor / Team Leader to lead a team of two for an established and reputable business based on the outskirts of Eynsham – Oxfordshire, 10 miles West of Oxford. You will be reporting into the Financial Controller and Managing Director, leading your team, streamlining processes and motivating the team of two Purchase Ledger Assistants. This role will be suited towards a candidate with a very strong Purchase Ledger background and with supervisory / managerial / team leader experience who can hit the ground running.
Duties will include:
Motivating and leading your team of two Purchase Ledger Assistants
Being the go-to person within the PL team for any important queries that need resolving and escalating where necessary
Streamlining current processes to ensure the team work efficiently
Implementing new processes to drive the department forward
Collation and analysis of suggested payment reports
Working to monthly deadlines set within procedures
Ensure correct paperwork is received to meet VAT rules and regulations.
Checking set up of new supplier accounts and bank details
– Knowledge of Great Plains would be advantageous alongside strong MS Excel skills, but not essential.
