We are recruiting for a CIMA Qualified Accountant for our global FMCG client, with this specific role to be based at one of the UK sites on the North East outskirts of Bristol.

Our client is looking for someone who enjoys a hands-on approach and is enthusiastic to driving financial performance, whilst also having the ability to lead the senior management team and deputising for the Site Director when they are away from the business.

You will be responsible for SOX compliance on site, leading the finance department, providing a professional service to your team and reporting on site profit improvement plans.

Duties will include:

• Prepare and review monthly accounts, journals, analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain fixed asset register, verifications, dealing with disposals and additions
• Track capex spend and ensure spend request forms are completed and approved in line with approval matrix / policy and maintain tight controls, including post reviews
• Analyse overheads, customer contribution and other costs
• Assist in control and audit of financial processes throughout the site
• Work with management team / budget holders to review monthly budget v actual costs
• Ensure the preparation and accurate updating of the annual budgets and forecasts
• Budget meetings with budget owners monthly, set budgets, educate non-finance people and review actual spend and variances
• To develop and maintain robust financial information, reporting, systems and controls
• Prepare monthly packs and analysis for Site Management meetings
• Provide accurate and timely information to Group and Site Management
• Undertake project work under the direction of Group
• Manage stock levels – obsolete stocks, aged stock and provisioning
• Constantly reviewing and improving processes
• Responsible for reporting and accuracy of weekly accounts, ensuring processes are followed throughout the factory and reporting is delivered on time
• Production of daily and weekly KPIs with commentary
• Assist with implementing daily KPIs around the factory, and attend daily meetings
• Responsible for stock reconciliations
• Understand impact of costs and efficiencies throughout the processes in the factory
• Supporting Site Management team
