Management Accountant / Finance Manager

My client is a well regarded and rapidly expanding SME business, ideally situated on the Leicestershire / Lincolnshire borders and easily commutable from across the Midlands.

Due to expansion they now have a vacancy for a dynamic and progressive Qualified Accountant to join the team as Finance Manager, which can later progress to Financial Controller.

Working as part of a five strong finance team, this key role to the business will offer a broad mix of both Financial and Management Accounting responsibility, to include:

• Production of monthly management accounts for senior executives
• Production of annual budget, quarterly financial forecasts including presentation to site senior management team
• Analyse and challenge spend with cost managers, identifying and highlighting any cost risks and opportunities, through the use of insightful reporting and effective business partnering
• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Weekly working capital and cash flow forecasting
• Year end statutory accounts, tax analysis
• Managing both the year end external audit and group internal audit on controls and processes
• Managing the fixed asset register
• VAT and Intrastat returns, Government Statistics returns
• The processing of monthly payroll for all salaried staff, including all tax year end requirements
• Actively coach and develop direct reports to enable career progression

Applicants will be Qualified or Newly Qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and ideally have a background working across Financial and Management Accounting, with a degree (or equivalent) obtained within a relative subject.

My client has 3 very different areas of revenue stream, however all would be suited to candidates working within the Manufacturing or Logistics sectors; those within others would also be considered.

In return, this varied and challenging role offers great scope for development to Financial Controller (1-2 Years), with mentorship from a great Finance Director.
