The Role: Reporting to Finance Leader and SMT the Management Accountant will be responsible for a range of critical financial activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to support key business decisions. While initially offered on a Maternity Cover there is potential scope for the role to become Permanent.

Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Conducting detailed variance analysis against budget and forecast, providing insightful commentary to non-finance stakeholders.
• Assisting with the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
• Monitoring and analysing key financial performance indicators (KPIs).
• Supporting the year-end audit process and preparing statutory information.
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts and ensuring data integrity.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
• Ad-hoc financial analysis and project support as required.
About You:
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified By Experience (QBE): You will either hold a recognised accounting qualification or possess extensive, demonstrable experience in a similar management accounting role.
• Proven experience in preparing full sets of management accounts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent proficiency in financial modelling and advanced Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) is highly desirable.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
• A proactive, self-motivated, and organised approach, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to hit the ground running and integrate quickly into a new team.
