FRS are recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to work for a rapidly growing business based in North Northants.
Working on-site with a group of welcoming and personable colleagues, you will be providing support to the Finance Manager but also helping with other aspects of the business, including – expenses and motor insurance.
Responsibilities
● Credit Control & Billing cycles – manage debtor ledger, chase overdue invoices, liaise with internal teams to ensure billing paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
● Cash Flow Forecasting – support preparation of short- and medium-term cash fl ow forecasts, highlighting variances and risks.
● Bank Reconciliations – prepare and reconcile bank accounts regularly, investigate discrepancies promptly.
● Accounts Payable – process supplier invoices, ensure approvals follow internal controls, prepare payment runs.
● Expense Management – process staff expenses and credit card reconciliations.
● Accruals & Prepayments – assist with journal postings and reconciliations at
month-end.
● VAT return processing and checking of claims.
● Inter-Company Accounting – maintain and reconcile inter-company balances.
● Balance Sheet Reconciliations – prepare and maintain reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts.
● Xero – ensure accurate coding of transactions and maintenance of financial records in Xero.
● Continuous Improvement – identify process improvements and support system/controls development as the company grows.
