FRS are recruiting an Assistant Accountant for a well known brand based in Tamworth.

You will be joining a finance team of four & reporting into the Financial Controller who is very hands on & gets stuck in! The finance team has been newly formed & the FC is looking for a personable, knowledgeable & hard working individual who is happy to roll their sleeves up & get involved with some project work alongside the day to day tasks noted below.

Duties Will Include:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
Perform daily accounting tasks including accounts payable/receivable: general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations, statement reconciliations, payment run preparation
Reviewing financial documents and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance
Performing financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions
Preparing and reviewing annual/quarterly budgets, forecasts and financial reports
Support month-end and year-end close processes: Prepayments, Accruals, Leases, balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities: Annual budgeting, cashflow forecasting
Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits
Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
Support the senior accountant with various accounting projects and tasks as required
