Our client is a well-respected business operating within the Financial Services Sector with the UK Head Office ideally located in Leicestershire (with parking) plus with offering hybrid working easily workable for those across the East and West Midlands
As part of the companies expansion, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Group Finance Manager.
Working closely with the Group Financial Controller you you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the finance function within the group. This entails managing a range of tasks, such as processing bank transactions across multiple accounts, overseeing cash flow, handling monthly payroll and expenses, reviewing accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP), managing monthly accounts preparation, and conducting balance sheet reconciliation reviews. Alongside these responsibilities, Your role will also involve identifying opportunities for process and control improvements.
This new Finance Manager role exists to ensure the financial health and compliance of the organisation.
Overview
Timely Financial Reporting: Ensure all financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, are consistently generated and submitted on or before the established deadlines, achieving a 100% on-time submission rate.
Error-Free Accounting: Maintain a high level of accuracy in financial records and reports, with less than 1% error rate, to prevent financial discrepancies and regulatory issues.
Cost Reduction and Savings: Identify and implement cost-saving strategies that result in some reduction in operational expenses over the fiscal year.
FCA Compliance: Successfully complete all FCA-related tasks, including filing accurate and timely returns, resulting in a 100% compliance rate with FCA regulations and no penalties.
Audit Preparedness: Maintain well-organised financial records and documentation, ensuring a smooth external audit process with no major findings or issues.
Efficient Process Improvements: Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency within the accounting department, reducing manual workload by 10% over the year.
Financial Analysis: Provide valuable financial insights to support decision-making, including quarterly trend analyses and recommendations for improving financial performance, resulting in some increase in profitability.

The ideal candidate will be working towards professional qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) if not already qualified and ideally have previous experience gained working within Financial Services or within practice supplying accounting services to a FS business.
A good level of IT Literacy to include MS Excel is key and knowledge of Xero or Zoho desirable.
In return a basic salary of up to £55,000 coupled with excellent benefits, bonus and study support for those still studying can be offered.
