Our client is a well-respected Divisional / SME Business operating within the Manufacturing Industry largely supplying into the construction / house build market.

As part of the companies continued expansion FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Financial Controller to join the business.

This position is being offered on a hybrid basis and will be based from the clients’ offices ideally location on the Leicestershire / Derbyshire / Staffordshire Boarders

The Financial Controller will work with the GM, the Group CFO and the Group Board to ensure that we have first class financial and reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Line management of a small accounts team – ensuring all employees have appraisals and development plans to fulfil their roles
• Serve on the Leadership Team contributing to strategic decision-making processes within the company
• Management of the General Ledger, Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Fixed Asset register and accounting data
• Prepare financial reporting in a timely and accurate manner in line with Group requirements to include monthly management accounts and weekly cash flow forecasts
• Preparation of annual budgets and re-forecasts as required
• Provide ad-hoc financial information, including cost analysis and product costing, to directors and other senior managers within the company/group as required
• Calculation and provision of Key Performance Indicators to senior management as required
• Preparation of VAT returns, and assistance with other tax returns
• Monitor and review internal accounting procedures and policies and propose improvements to increase efficiency
• Support the year-end audit process and deal directly with external auditors as required
The ideal candidate will be formally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) ideally with at least 2-3 years PQE.
Those that are QBE or actively studying will be considered if suitable experience in a similar position can be demonstrated.
Candidates will ideally have previous experience gained within Manufacturing / FMCG / Construction / House Building and have experience operating within a SME or Divisional business in a leadership capacity.
Candidates will nee to have rounded finance experience (Financial / Management / Commercial Accounting) and be comfortable business partnering with key stake holders.
A unique element to this vacancy is the business are about to embark on a period of change and improvement and therefore offering great exposure to projects alongside BAU tasks.

A good level of IT Literacy is essential to include MS Excel for analysis with experience of ERP Systems such as Microsoft Navision Dynamics / Business Central / Navision / Great Plains being a major advantage.

In return a basic salary of £65,000 Car Allowance or Car and Bonus Awaits.
