FRS are recruiting a part-time Accounting Manager for reputable, local SME based in the LE4 part of Leicester.

The business are open to offering this on either a 25 hours per week OR 30 hours per week arrangement with hybrid working included!

This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, manages VAT returns, payroll, bookkeeping, purchase ledger, sales ledger, budgeting, forecasting, banking & cash flow whilst supporting the Senior Team / Director with weekly & monthly updates.

The business use Xero and experience using this would be highly advantageous but not essential. The role offers hybrid working too, ideally being office based once a week but aside from that the business are very flexible with working arrangements!

A salary of around £40-45k full time equivalent is attached to this role.

Duties Will Include:

Maintain purchase and sales ledgers, including credit control
Process staff expense payments and manage client payment approvals while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory compliance, including daily client account reconciliations
Oversee intercompany postings to ensure all company balances are aligned
Support when needed with external audit and tax teams to meet reporting requirements
Manage the relationship with the third-party payroll provider to ensure accurate monthly payroll processing
Monitor and manage group cash balances to ensure compliance with internal policies and external covenants
Assist in preparing, managing, and reviewing budgets to ensure effective financial planning
