Our client is a well respected international business with a £1bn turnover an interests across Manufacture, Sales and Distribution.

As part of the companies continued expansion, FRS have been enlisted to deliver a national search to assist with the recruitment of a Qualified Accountant to join the business as Finance Director of the UK Business (£60m T/O)

This is a newly created position as part of the companies UK growth and will working closely with both UK and International Exec Teams.

Due to the small finance team, whilst this is a position with key strategic input to the UK business alongside the Managing Director, candidates will need to be happy retaining operational involvement across monthly an annual accounting process as the only Qualified Accountant within the UK business

• Management of the Group’s finances including treasury, audit, corporation tax, VAT, legal and HR matters reporting directly to the Managing Director in the UK, and working closely with Europe and International.
• Senior Management Team and the Board in a progressive, profitable and fast-moving environment to drive tangible benefits to the business performance. Covering a diverse role including M&A, FP&A, Costing and Pricing, Working Capital and Cash Flow management.

Key responsibilities include:
• Production of monthly management accounts including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flows, budgets and variance analysis while coordinating the preparation of statutory accounts and audits;
• Group reporting of monthly management information to the Board;
• Implementation and enforcement of robust internal controls to deliver reliable, timely management data and accurate accounting records
• Head of the annual budgeting process, financial modelling and development of the five year strategic plan for the UK Business
• Working capital management including preparing a 13-week rolling cash flow forecast;
• Managing and coaching a finance team of 4 (finance manager, sales and purchase ledger administrators);
• Develop and maintain detailed costing and pricing models for all key services;
• Oversee HR and Payroll for the UK Business
• Management of the Company’s property leases and insurance policies;
• Responsible for the Group’s finance operations in UK

The ideal candidate will be working towards qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) if not already qualified and ideally have at least 2 years’ experience operating within a leadership finance position (Finance Manager / Financial Controller / Finance Director or similar)
Whilst part of a larger international group, the UK business still remains more SME in size and the therefore better suited to those seeking employment within a SME or Divisional business with wider involvement across Finance, Commercial, Operations and Strategy

Due to the close working relationship with Group Finance internationally, all applicants for this position will need to speak Korean as part of the essential criteria.

In return a competitive basic salary of £65,000 to £100,000 coupled with excellent benefits, bonus and scope for international development can be offered.
