Our client is a well respected and high growth business operating within the Construction Industry with the UK Head Office based in North East Leicestershire.

As part of the companies continued expansion, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Qualified Accountant to join the business as No 1 in Finance.

Working closely with the Managing Director and Commercial & Strategy Director this is a key role as part of the companies continued expansion and well take ownership / assist with the below.

 Leading and managing 4 direct reports across the Finance, Procurement and Commercial departments.
 Implement detailed cashflow management across all group companies using a 13, 26 and 52 week forecasts.
 Oversee, review and approve monthly board packs for seven group companies along with quarterly consolidated accounts.
 Attendance and presentation of financial reports at the monthly board meeting.
 Responsible for budgeting and forecasting across the group.
 Challenging at monthly CVR meetings – working closely with Commercial Director to control project profitability.
 Liaising with Regional BU Leaders to interpret results and guide in decision making.
 Review supply chain performance and negotiate rates and rebates from suppliers.
 Strong monthly project costing and profitability reviews to ensure accurate project profitability reporting.
 Presentation of financial information at quarterly strategy board meetings,

The ideal candidate will be formally qualified and ideally have at least 2-3 Years PQE gained in a similar finance leadership position.
Those operating as a no 2 in finance wishing to take their next progression step into a No 1 position will be considered.

Previous experience gained operating within the construction / contracting industry is desirable to include knowledge of CIS / CVR however this is no essential.
